- About the Course

Overview
The level 1 course introduces the main features of ActivInspire. The course shows key skills in the software that will enhance teaching and engage students in their learning. By successfully completing this course you will be awarded the Level 1 Foundation Stage Certificate.

Content
The course has been designed to familiarise you with the core tools of ActivInspire. During the course you will learn the basic skills needed to create colourful and engaging flipcharts. Full course notes will be provided.

Details

  • Overview of the whole program including the concept of the flipchart
  • Explore the main Toolbox
  • Using the ActivInspire tools on top of other programs (e.g. PowerPoint)
  • Putting media (e.g. video from the Internet) directly onto a flipchart page so that it plays as soon as the page is turned
  • Introduction to resources available within the program and online
  • Basic techniques to engage e.g. Student participation, spotlight, hiding, revealing, different ways of revealing information
  • Adding useful facilities so that they are immediately available to use in the classroom
  • Produce a flipchart based on your planning which is attractive, engaging and interactive

  • Short real life videos using flash player (similar to You Tube) so no specialist software is needed.
  • Clear course notes that complement these videos in PDF format
  • Message and email answers to questions you may have
